Apple and Adobe go back along way, but recently, things haven’t been going great. Apple refuses to put flash on their iPhones which has sparked quite a debate. Asking a friend of ours their opinion on why they didn’t want to include it anymore, they went ahead and re-burped all the points in Apple’s corporate response to the issue, which you can read here.

A lot of people tend to think this is Apple hiding behind the fact that, should they give users the ability to use flash on their iPhones, they wouldn’t purchase as many games through Apple’s App Store, resulting in damaging Apple’s revenue.

Also, if flash is so buggy and processor intensive, how come HTC/Android has now announced flash on their platform.

Here at TILT we are all ones for the next step of HTML5 and CSS3, but full integration of these standards is a long way off, especially with a good percentage of web users with older browsers such as IE6. With such amazing flash sites out their today, it would be a shame to lose this creativity that i’m not so sure you could reproduce with HTML5 and CSS3+JS.

Here are some interesting demos from Apple using HTML5 and CSS3.

And here are some amazing flash websites.

What do you think?
